Windows Blue Screen Error Causes & Solutions

First let us know what is a Windows Blue Screen. It is the Blue colour Screen that Windows Powered PCs show when they fail to run anymore. This failure occur due to several reasons to which windows is unable to keep itself in running position. It is also called as BSOD or Blue Screen Of Death which means that windows stopped functioning due to serious failure and to prevent any more damages windows shut down all the processes immediately. Usually with such screen an Error Code is Displayed. Below is an example of such Blue Screen Error.

If your windows too crashed and you were shown a similar screen with message as “Windows is crashed and we are recovering the windows. Error Code: xxx“, then don’t worry our this article is here to assist you in solving this problem.
Before going to solutions, lets first analyse the reason that caused the problem. Generally an Error Code is Displayed in the BSOD which signifies the reason for such faults. You can easily Google it to find the problem associated with that particular error code. But if either you didn’t find the result for theerror code or there was no error code displayed then read the below listed major causes of BSOD.

Driver Issue

Blue screen error can be caused by driver issues too. Generally when you update the driver that windows too had it installed by default, there may be windows blue screen error or BSOD if the one that you installed didn’t match the exact descriptor for the hardware it is in windows default installeddriver for the same hardware.
This is because usually windows commands the hardware with the drivers descriptions but when it starts receiving the invalid responses, it stops the service all at a certain to stop the hardware from getting damaged.

Ram Issue

Nearly all the blue death screen are result of the memory vault. Even in the driver issue, it is caused because with invalid responses memory gets immediately filled. Sometime it may be that you use the PC in haphazard way and the memory gets full.
Or
Sometime it may also be the issue that the memory for which references were stored in RAM are damaged and while refreshing the same memory windows get no response. In such cases too your PC will be hanged and will die to BSOD.

Others

There are other several reasons too that may cause the problem such as hardware failure or overheating or sudden interruption in processing of processor or many times even viruses lead to such screens as they make the windows necessary files to be corrupted. BSOD will occur whenever the windows is unable to run the system processes critical to basic windows functioning or whenever its memory is overloaded due to whatsoever reasons.

Solutions

Now you know the reasons and it may be easier to guess out the proper solutions too. Below are the common solutions to resolve such issues. Please note getting rid of the blue screen takes a longer time so do this when you are free and also make sure in case of importance of data make priority to data backup then resolving the BSOD.

To solve the issue follow the following steps:

Step 1: Default BIOS Setting
Now you know the reasons and it may be easier to guess out the proper solutions too. Below are the common solutions to resolve such issues. Please note getting rid of the blue screen takes a longer time so do this when you are free and also make sure in case of importance of data make priority to data backup then resolving the BSOD.
  1. Make the BIOS setting loaded with its default setting and to do that simply press Esc button before the computer starts. And after that press F9 to load the default boot setup and then to apply the changes press F10 followed by ok button when save changes message appears.
  2. It may be different buttons for your case so do this with due care by reading the option line before clicking it.
  3. The better part with this is that sometime over clocking or any other changes in the BIOS interrupts the windows process to cause the death screens. So in case this was the problem you may get the immediate relief just after changing this setting.

Step 2: Run PC in Safe Run Mode

  1. After changing the default BIOS setting now run the PC in Safe Run Mode by pressing the F8 button at windows start-up.
  2. After the PC is started in safe Run Mode make sure that if the problem is occurring or not.
  3. If the problem is still recurring then you need to reinstall the Windows and also check for any specific hardware failure problem.
  4. In case there isn’t the error any more, you can understand the problem was by the driver issue. It won’t happen in safe mode simply because all the drivers are reloaded before the PC is started inSafe Run Mode.
So if you have found that it was a driver problem then follow our step 3.

Step 3: Advance Restore

  1. So if you came from 2nd step, then you can do is to restore the windows files. Start Windows Restore System and then select at the day when the problem was caused and then restore the PC to that particular day.
  2. If you find that the event on that day was an installation of a driver then after recovering the file make sure to uninstall the driver to that file and then again install it through
    windows update.

Step 4: Check the Disk Space

  1. Make sure to check the disk spaces in the C drive or the drive where you have the windowsinstallation because several times it happens that due to the lack of disk spaces the windows is unable to run and you are presented with the most hated Blue Screen of Death.
  2. In case the partition drive to which the windows is installed isn’t having at least 10 percentage of free spaces to its size, then make sure to move several files to other drives so as to make the drive free.

Step 5: Test Memory

If the problem isn’t sorted out yet then make sure to make a memory test. Boot the windows in Advance Boot Mode and then select the Repair My PC or Installation Option or Advance Option as the case may be with different versions of windows installations. Make sure to run the windows memory test which will give you the result whether there is any memory vault or not.
If any found it will automatically ask you to place the installation CD of windows and will attempt to troubleshoot the issue automatically. But in case there isn’t any memory fault but still you are facing the problem, then visit the next step.

Step 6: Note down the Error Code

In case in any of the steps till here you didn’t get the solution, then note down the error code that are displayed usually on the BSOD and search the internet with the code. Believe us that there are several article for specific errors so that you will find the special solution for your problem.

Step 7: Reinstall the Windows

If the problem isn’t solved up to this point then there’s only a solution for normal people and that is just run the windows installation disk to reinstall the windows. And yes you should try to back up the data so that you can save it before running the installation media.

What if even after the re-installation,the problem isn’t fixed

Well then it’s a hardware issue and please refer to specialist to get the hardware replaced. But usually the problem is related to software issues. Also don’t forget to scan the computer with Boot Mode  scanners such as Avast, Kaspersky or any antivirus to check out whether the problem isn’t caused by the viruses.

Thank You :)

How to Remove or Bypass the BIOS Password

Hey Guys, Ever happened to you that your PC BIOS locked with an unknown password. One of my friend was suffered from this problem recently so I just thought to share it with all you guys too.
Its relatively very easy to Remove or Bypass the BIOS password. Lets first take a look at the basics that how the things actually works.

The BIOS password get stored the CMOS battery which perform a password authentication at the time of Boot. If you enter the wrong password 3-4 times then your PC or LAPTOP will automatically get locked until the next reboot.

Alright lets take a look how to perform the trick.

Firstly: You can try some default passwords if you're Lucky enough then the JOB will be done.

AWARD SW, AWARD_SW, Award SW, AWARD PW, _award, awkward, J64, j256, j262, j332, j322, 01322222, 589589, 589721, 595595, 598598, HLT, SER, SKY_FOX, aLLy, aLLY, Condo, CONCAT, TTPTHA, aPAf, HLT, KDD, ZBAAACA, ZAAADA, ZJAAADC

Secondly:
  • Power OFF your PC and make sure the power cable is unplugged.
  • Open your CPU case and make it properly if you're doing for the first time.
  • Search for the CMOS battery. It'll be looking like a circular metallic coil.

  • Now carefully remove the CMOS battery from the case and place it in an open place for around 2-3 minutes. It'll flush all its content including the BIOS password.

  • Avoid touching the battery with your naked hands it may can infect it.
  • Place the battery properly back in the case.
  • Make a PC Reboot.
  • If everything goes well then you will see your BIOS password successfully removed.
Thank You :)

List of Must Know Programming Languages

Hey guys, as far as programming is concerned its a bit complicated word for some peoples. However on the other hand, some peoples can actually see the life through it.

Peoples might find it really hard to learn programming languages while for some its the real fun.
Nowadays, programming languages are frequently used for developing applications for personal purpose or communication purpose. Around 600+ programming languages are present.

Selecting a particular language or any particular platform is really the toughest task for new bies, hold on a second.. it doesn't mean I'm here to provide a solution though.

I receive many questions like Which is the best Programming language ? or Which language is best suited for Hacking ?
According to me, you should learn as many languages as you can. However, be focused on the first language you pick which can be random pick.

Here, I'm sharing a list of few languages which should be available in the mind of programmer. If you skipped any of them no worries, at least in future try to get a taste of all of them.
Before any other debate, let me clarify that I'm not arranging these languages in order of preference or choice but its random.

1. C Language:
C language was developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie which was initially designed for Unix. Its a compiled, procedural language. C program are still very fast in execution however because of its platform dependency C programs need to compile with different architecture and operating system.

2. JAVA:
This object oriented language was designed in 1995 by Sun microsystem which is currently owned by Oracle. Java is very popular among developers because of its security and platform dependency though the speed of execution is still not very impressive. Its large library makes it easier to build complex applications though you may can miss the freedom in code.

3. PHP:
PHP was originally developed by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1996 in order to create dynamic web pages. Being a server side language, its really powerful due to its flexibility and frequently picked by Hackers while performing various attacks mail spoofing, mail bombing and phishing. PHP folks keep updating their libraries and its really better since its version 5. Overtime it eventually grow up into a fully featured object oriented language.

4. Android:
Android is getting popular these days because of its simple structure, open source and flexible nature. Since you can make cool and tricky features and can simply run them holding the in your palm. Android is really cool technology to hand out with for both career and fun.

5. Python:
Python was developed in late 1980's by Guido van Rossum intended for general programming purpose. In the early 2000, python actually gained popularity among geeks and now its fully accepted by many organizations like Google and Ubuntu.

6. C#:
C# is mainly used of .NET framework intended to work with Windows platform. Its first preference for windows guys because of its huge library and java like similar programming structure.

7. Ruby:
Ruby was initially developed in 1995 written by Yukihiro Matsumoto as one of the most object oriented languages. If you're an object oriented nerd :P then Ruby is something you can simply neglect, here numbers and even letters can have method calls.

8. Delphi:
Delphi has pioneered an era of rapid application development by introducing crucial features that have notably decreased application prototyping times. It has great advantages over Visual Basic both in terms of speed and library. Delphi can be used for writing some cool hack stuff like spy software and malware.

There are other languages too like Assembly (my fav :), Perl, Javascript, Visual Basic which you can try on.

If you ask me, I would say start picking all the languages one by one and get settled with the one you find most comfortable.

Kali Linux - good Backtrack version to hang with

Kali Linux is recently released as the 6th version of Backtrack series. For all the pen testers and wanna be hackers, its a good tool to kick start the things.

With regards to penetration testing tools, the folks at Offensive Security basically cleansed BackTrack, took out the old, broken and duplicated and brought in the new and thereby created Kali Linux. Not only are the pentesting tools GPG signed (along with the repositories) but there has been an emphasis on making Kali Linux the multinational penetration testing Linux Distribution of choice. By making an effort to incorporate other widely spoken languages is a smart move since it will have a positive impact with regards to the distro’s usage in other countries.

Being and staying true to the open source ethos Kali Linux is using a Git Tree which enables users to see and tweak all software sources. Kali is also FHS compliant (Filesystem Hierarchy Standard) enabling users greater ease in being able to locate files, binaries and libraries. Ensuring FHS compliance with the Git Tree does make tweaking the distro a breeze – and for that Offensive Security needs praise.

Few General FAQs which I find useful:

Q. What is Kali Linux ?

Kali Linux is the new generation of the industry-leading BackTrack Linux penetration testing and security auditing Linux distribution.
Kali Linux is a complete re-build of BackTrack from the ground up, adhering completely to Debian development standards.

Q. Should I Use Kali Linux?

As the distribution developers, one would likely expect us to recommend that everyone use Kali Linux but the fact of the matter is, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testing and security auditing.

Q. Kali Linux Default Passwords

During installation, Kali Linux allows users to configure a password for the root user. However, should you decide to boot the live image instead, the i386, amd64, and ARM images are configured with the default root password – “toor“, without the quotes.

In summary Kali Linux, as a continuation of the ever popular BackTrack Linux needs praise – the team are dedicated and, it seems, are listening to their ever growing and loyal community. We are going to stick with BackBox but will certainly have Kali on a virtual machine to further experiment.
I still didn't get enough time to work on Kali linux properly however the reviews I received on it were good and I believe its a good tool to hit a try.

Hack Facebook/ Gmail/ Yahoo Account by Phishing - Backtrack

Hi guys,Today i m going to tell u the steps for hacking Gmail, Facebook or Yahoo. First of all guys let me share that I'm not in the favour of Black Hat Hacking because no matter how smart you're at the end of the day its path will end by packing your ass behind the bars. Many people wants to hack someone's account because of revenge, anger, unknowingly or just for fun but I suggest you to find a better alternative than hacking.

Anyways, here I'm sharing a simple trick to hack anyone's Gmail/Facebook/Yahoo or any similar account by using most powerful and very popular tool these days known as Backtrack.
I'll use a site cloner tool included in Social Engineering Toolkit to get the Job done. Now enough chit chat, lets get our hands on some real stuff.

Warning: This is for education purpose only. I'm not responsible for any damage done to anyone.

  • Boot your backtrack machine.
  • Navigate to the following path. Applications > Backtrack >Exploitation Tools > Social Engineering Tools > Social Engineering Toolkit > set

  • It'll navigate you to the Social-Engineering Toolkit (SET) terminal
  • Here, Enter your choice as 2 for Website Attack Vectors.

  • Now, Enter your choice as 3 for Credential Harvester Attack Method

  • In website attack vectors, Enter the Number as 2 for Site Cloner.

  • Then it'll ask you to Enter the url to clone. Here, I'm using www.facebook.com for demonstration but you can use the url of gmail or yahoo or whatever you want. After writing the URL hit Enter.

  • When its done with cloning again press Enter. Don't close this terminal because it'll display the password later. Now our site clone is ready all you need to do is to send its link to the victim who's account you want to hack. The IP address of the Backtrack will be treated as the address of the clone site.
  • So grab the IP address of Backtrack. Open a new terminal and shoot the command ifconfig and get its IP address. It'll look something like inet addr: 192.168.26.128
  • Since I'm running Backtrack on Virtual Machine so my IP is something like192.168.26.128 yours may can differ.
Note: The IP's of the figure 192.168.xxx.xxx shows its existence in a LAN or WAN. In that case this trick will work in those networks only.
  • Now, send your IP address directly to the victim or you can spoof it by shrinking the url using many online services like adf.ly or goo.gl or any similar one. Send the generated link to the Victim via chat or Email or by any means.
  • When the user click on the link, it'll redirect to the facebooks cloned login page.

  • After entering the email and password when the victim click Login. It'll get redirected to the original facebook login page and our SET terminal will display the results i.e. the email id and password.

  • Here, email ID: abc@xyz.com and Password: 123456
  • That's it you have successfully hacked facebook account via Site Cloner on Backtrack.
Note: This trick may not work globally if you're running Backtrack in virtual machine. For that purpose boot it as your main OS, either install it or use any Bootable USB or DVD of backtrack. Phishing usually work only on noobs but if you want to apply it on an expert use it smartly :)
